Eastern Lightning Softball Club
The Eastern Lightning Softball Club is based on Hobart`s Eastern Shore in Tasmania, Australia. We currently field two Senior Women`s teams. The club was formed some twenty years ago as part of the Howrah Tee Ball, Softball, Baseball Club which was primarily just a Tee Ball based club. The growth of the softball side of the club over those years have led us to now be our own softball club with our own identity. We have had considerable success over the years winning quiet a number of junior premierships and won our first senior title in 2003/04. More success was achieved in 2008/09 season with the club taking out the "A" Grade title . Although it is great to win premierships the main focus of the club is still participation. It is this emphasis on `having a go` that has made us so successful, we encourage all players no matter what their skill level or experience may be.
